Megan + Cameron

Cameron and his roommate had just finished unpacking and setting their dorm room up. They decided it was now time to find the prettiest girls on campus. As the night was winding down from their long unsuccessful journey, they decided to take one last peek around. That’s when Cameron locked eyes with Megan for the first time, the prettiest girl on campus. Cameron and his roommate both introduced themselves to Megan and her friend. They chatted for a moment before the boys went back to their room to discuss their plan to how to get to know these gorgeous ladies better. Megan and Cameron always found themselves in the same close knit group of friends during freshman year and were constantly side by side. Freshman year soon came to and end and Megan and Cameron parted their ways. Megan transferred to a different school and Cameron stayed to finish his degree.

Years later a mutual friend decided it would be fun to meet up with Cameron and invite Megan to tag along for a fun weekend. Megan hesitated because she hadn’t spoken to Cameron in over 3 years and she was afraid it might be a little awkward. She eventually gave in and decided to go. They took the bus 8 hours to Chicago where Cameron picked them up. ” I still remember looking up and saying “Hi Cam” and thinking that somehow he had managed to get even cuter since freshman year.” They spent a long weekend together and by the end of the weekend Megan and Cameron were a pair. Over the years they fell in love, but there is one particular moment that Megan remembers the exact moment she was in love with Cameron. While in Hawaii with Cameron’s family, Megan became very ill. She couldn’t get out of bed or even eat. Cameron never left her side. Without a single complaint he spent the entire week by her side crushing pills and watching foreign movies with the subtitles on. It was one afternoon when Megan awoke in a sweat, barley able to comprehend that she’d even fallen asleep. She looked up and saw Cameron lying there next to her holding her hand, sound asleep. That very moment she was in love and knew that was the man she wanted to spend forever with. It was always the little things like that.

On their fourth anniversary Megan was frustrated when Cameron came home and acted like he didn’t want to celebrate. Instead he asked Megan to come out to look at something on his truck. She declined, but he dragged her out to his truck. He popped the hood and there it was, a little white box. Megan stood there in shock and tears instantly flooded her eyes. Never had she ever expected this! She had hoped maybe it would happen someday but Cameron kept this secret very well. Cameron came around to the front and nervously got down on one knee. Megan said yes! This summer they will marry on the water and start the rest of their life’s adventures together, as husband and wife.
